Inspired again by my sister's waste reduction, I've been donating unused belongings to some local charity shops. Beyond the physical "stuff" I decided to clear out my podcast list as well. I had subscribed to far too many podcasts and was, I hate to admit it, getting a bit antsy about the hundreds of unlistened to podcasts.
The first idea I had was to listen to podcasts at 1.5 speed. It worked to some extent but it wasn't getting me to listen to some of the podcasts. Which left me with option...

An ode to the potato
Yesterday evening I snaffled a new potato off my brother's dinner plate. He shooed me away, but let me away with taking a small one. The moment I ate it I wished I'd taken another couple. I'd forgotten how delightful it is to eat a new potato. Light, fluffy, almost citrusy.
I spent too many years in countries where potatoes are sold as "white" or "yellow". I fell out of love with potatoes. Then I came back to Ireland. Even the worst of potatoes in Ireland is better than the giant "white"...
